LITK in NYC!! We Need Suggestions.

Okay, so the venue is was Dallas BBQ.

They do not take reservations for Saturdays. They will not give a table until everyone shows up.

I think we should relocate.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

A lot of places do that. There's another curly meetup at Night of the Cookers in Brooklyn this weekend, and they made us give them a $50 deposit first. What about Mobay in Harlem?

I would like to suggest Dojo Restaurant in Greenwich Village. Although the theme is Japanese, they do have a range of different foods. They are also vegeterian/health concious friendly. It's the type of place where everyone should be able to find something to eat, even those who are very picky (ME!). It's a nice, laid back atmosphere. The price is also affordable-you can get a meal for about $10.

I just spoke to someone from the restaurant. She said that they don't take reservations. However, she said it would be good to call about 30 min before we arrive so they can be sure to have a table ready, since it will be a large group. However, getting a table at that time should not be a problem, and they won't make us wait for everyone to arrive.

There is also a full bar.

Here is the info:
