These Healing Hands...

...can be destroyers too.

When it comes to ways in which we damage our hair, we tend to forget one really important thing: our hands. Basically, our hands can cause breaks and splits in our hair. I'm talking about jagged nails, hang nails, rough skin and jewellery.

So before styling hair, take off jewellery, make sure nail tips are blunt and palms aren't dry and rough. I was running my hands through my hair today and it snagged on a hang nail... and then I heard a rrriiippp as it caught on my ring too.

Poor Stef :(

I think that's a good suggestion if you want little to no shrinkage.

I've rod set my hair once and plan to do it again soon. I did it on old hair, maybe 2 or 3 days old. For each section I lightly misted, detangled, sealed with a lil castor oil, two strand twisted it, and then rolled on a perm rod. I luv'd the results.

The one tip I have is make sure you detangle each section before rolling on the rod or you may have a knotted mess on your hands.

I left that previous comment (with rod set suggestions) for this post by accident! Lol. It should be for the rod set post. Can you please just copy and paste it there? Lol. Thanks!
