Curl Harmony Product Review

Curl Harmony is a UK natural hair product company that has just begun shipping to the US.  Recently, they sent me some samples to try and review. All products can be purchased from their website. I tried the hydrating conditioner, the hair milk and the curl reviver. I used the products over a period of a few weeks and got consistently good results. I have type 4b/c hair that is prone to dryness, shrinkage and frizz. It has no distinctive curl pattern and loves to tangle in on itself. It doesn't get wet easily, but once its wet, it hangs on to water for a while. Hopefully this background gives an idea of what my hair is like and will help people with similar hair types.

Curl Harmony Hydrating Conditioner:
This was a great conditioner. I only received enough for one use but it instantly softened my hair and tangles just melted away. It smelled absolutely delicious. I washed my hair with Curlicious Curls Cleansing Cream prior to using this conditioner. Then I applied the conditioner, let it sit in my hair for a few minutes, combed my hair with a wide tooth comb then rinsed it out. It has a creamy consistency, similar to other conditioners.

Ingredients:
Aqua, Persea gratissima (Avocado Oil), Behentrimonium Methosulphate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride (Guar Gum), Glycerine, Hydrolysed Corn and Wheat Protein, Panthenol, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Chlorphenesin, Parfum, Silk Amino Acid Powder, Lactic Acid

I give this conditioner an 8/10 for smell, 8/10 for slip and 8/10 for moisture imparted to my hair.

Hair Milk and Curl Reviver:
The hair milk had a sweet candy smell and the consistency of conditioner. I applied it to damp clean hair and it was quickly absorbed. I used it liberally because my hair absorbs product too readily but I found that I didn't need to use as much as other products and it made my hair feel soft as soon as it touched my hair. I layered it with the curl reviver. The curl reviver has a thicker consistency, like a butter, but is less greasy and more creamy. It also smells like baby powder. I have no curls to revive so I used it over the hair milk. Together they worked wonders in my hair and left my hair manageable, soft and smelling good enough to eat. I used the products on my roommate who has finer hair with looser curls and I only had to use a tiny bit. Any more than that made her hair greasy. Used in moderation, her hair looked and felt great. I was also able to layer the products with gels and oils without experiencing any unsightly white flaky residue. They also didn't leave my hair feeling as dry as other products with glycerine do.
