Both Miss Fizz and I currently have our hair in yarn braids (beg her to give una pictures). I did mine on Wednesday night, first just one to see how it looked, then I realized I had to do all of them. Now, some of you can braid half your head one day and continue another day. Not me!
Once I'd started, they needed to be finished. I did not time it wisely, starting at around 8pm and finishing around 1:30am. Thank goodness United States of Tara was on Netflix! I had to add extra yarn when I reached the end of the loc, and I knotted and burnt the ends of the braids. Didn't really bother about being precise with the length and thickness of the braids, figured I'd keep a rough look to it :)
Personally, I love it! It's like having long locs! I just need to remember to keep greasing my scalp so my dandruff doesn't kick in.

You look so cute and I love that scarf!
They came out really nice!
It's like looking into the future
Cute, I think I am going to try yarn twists soon.
Love them!! How exactly did you do the style with your locs??
They look good.
I love these on you! They don't look like you added anything. GORGEOUS!!!
You are photogenic. The braids are pretty.
Love your hair! Does it pull on your edges?
Aw thanks everyone!
@Cinni, I just started braiding the yarn into my locs from the root, but when I got to the end of the loc, I paused and did a small braid at the tip to extend it, then braided that small braid back into the larger braid. Hope that made sense!!
@Alicia, no it doesn't pull at all. I actually had to wash my hair the next day because I need to wash my scalp every few days, and so the braids aren't tight at the root, but they also can't fall off because my locs are too long lol
Ive been missing my yarn braids since i started locing my hair. I think i might do some this weekend now. Yours are beautiful, how many locs do you have?
I am in LOOOOVE with this look
